This is where I spent my childhood

Playing and running across the grass and woods

The air filled with laughter and joy

The best view and splendor I ever saw

Now it lays in dust and ruins

The earth scattered in ashes and rubbles

The light had long departed from it

As smoke rises from a burning pit

I remember your beauty and greatness

The serenity in your very stillness

Look how deep you had fallen

A picture of strive, lawlessness and rotten

Everything once very familiar

Now somewhat surprising and peculiar

We have forgotten how to smile and

O my Long lost Island
